Cyanotype is an old photographic printing process (as way back as 1842) mainly using light sensitive solution and sunlight, which reproduces flat items such as lace, flowers, (even your hair!) and foliage into stunning blue prints.
The workshop will be conducted by Lai Garling, Hong Kong textile artist, each participant will:
i. Gain an appreciation of the history of photographic printing
ii. Learn how to make cyanotype print step by step
iii. Bring home at least 4 pieces of artworks
Date: 29 OR 30 June 2019 (2 sessions available for registration)
Time: 1PM – 3PM
Venue: The Warung, 145, Victoria Street, 10300 Georgetown, PENANG.
Participants are required to bring your own subject for the cyanotype process, such as leaves, lace, flowers, and etc..
